Picture of the Moment - one of the Village Garage Sale sites

Introduction

Welcome to the White Colne Web Site which we hope you will find interesting.

White Colne is a contemporary village but with a history stretching back to the Domesday book and beyond. In fact there is evidence of Palaeolithic and Mesolithic settlement in the area.

Set in the Colne Valley, White Colne is part of the less well known North Essex countryside and today offers both residents and visitors access to beautiful scenery including riverside walks, open meadows and ancient woodland where a wide variety of wildlife flourishes.

The village although small plays host to a number of groups and activities as well as many thriving businesses.  Further details may be found within this web site.

I hope you enjoy your visit to our web site and, if it inspires you, will come and explore White Colne in person - you will be most welcome.

Chairman White Colne Parish Council
